» Hamilton Training and Advisory Board
The Hamilton Training Advisory Board is one of twenty-one training boards in Ontario. HTAB is a not for profit organization and is jointly funded by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. Drawing on the expertise of a broad cross section of the Hamilton community enables HTAB to better identify and address existing and anticipated labour force needs.

 

» Canadian Steel Trade and Employment Congress
Canadian Steel Trade and Employment Congress is a joint-venture between the United Steel Workers and Canada’s steel producing companies. CSTEC provides a range of services to employers, employed and unemployed workers, both inside and outside the steel industry. CSTEC has assisted the steel industry to hire 300 young people into technician, technologist, engineering, information technology and related employment through the Youth Science and Technology Program of Human Resource Development Canada (HRDC). CSTEC assists in promoting steel industry careers in job fairs and other recruitment activities.
