Bishop Ryan is a co-educational school located in Hamilton Ontario, Canada , 42 Kilometres south-west of Toronto, and 52 kilometres west of Buffalo. The school was founded in 1958, and has since been relocated to a spacious, modern facility, featuring a state of the art auditorium, television and recording studios, modern equipment, excellent gymnasiums, a brand new fitness centre, and well maintained playing field.
Our School provides a comprehensive programme of courses from grade 9 through 12, enabling our students to obtain an Ontario Secondary School Diploma, which in turn, provides them with the prerequisites to enter Community College or University. Moreover we have an inclusive programme and provide excellent student support through our special education, student success leader, and student services departments.
We offer a multi-dimensional co-instructional program. Traditionally we have provided very successful programmes in football, basketball, volleyball, hockey, wrestling, and baseball. In the arts, we excel through our musical productions and outstanding performances by our internationally acclaimed vocal group "The Bishop Ryan Expression."
Bishop Ryan is a Catholic School, and faith centred activities are an important part of our daily lives. Through the guidance of our chaplain we celebrate school masses, liturgies, daily prayers and participate in community events and acts of charity.
