Health & Wellness

According to Canada’s Health Care System, published by Health Canada in 2005, “approximately 1.6 million people work in health care and social services in Canada”. This figure, according to the same publication, makes this sector “the nation’s third largest employer after manufacturing and the retail trade”. At home in Hamilton, Health & Wellness is our fastest growing economic sector due to demographic shifts and an aging workforce and employs 11% of our workforce. Students in this program specialize in Health, Fitness, or Child and Family Services.
