Early College Graduation Program

Beginning September 2021-2022 in partnership with Mohawk College, the Early College Graduation Program (ECGP) pilot will be available to students entering Grade 9.

The program offers students the opportunity to achieve the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and a college credential concurrently, while gaining valuable transferable skills and certifications along the way.

Participating students will expand their understanding of potential careers, and acquire the skills and experiences required to thrive in the workplace.

Programming includes:

      Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM)
•      dual credits
•      experiential learning
•      cooperative education

•      industry-specific visits
•      mentorship
•      hands-on training

Two streams of ECGP will be offered in alignment with local community workforce needs.

 

Pathways in Technology Early College High Schools (P-TECH)

St. Jean de Brebeuf Catholic Secondary School

In partnership with Mohawk College and IBM, P-TECH offers students entering Grade 9 at St. Jean de Brebeuf C.S.S. an innovative computer software engineering accredited education.

Over approximately five years, students concurrently earn:

•      The Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
•      A two-year Computer Software               
       Technician College Diploma

Advanced Automation/Manufacturing (AAM)

Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School

AAM offers students entering Grade 9 at Bishop Ryan C.S.S. a fully-integrated advanced manufacturing education, with an embedded robotics focus.

Over approximately 4 years, students concurrently earn:

      The Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
•      A one-year Ontario College Certificate in Advanced
       Manufacturing Operations
•      The Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC)
       Certified Production Technician certification
